每年的10月31日是西方国家的传统节日----万圣节。在万圣节前夕，我们杭州网的小记者展开了一次“万圣节英语文化之旅”。
我和妈妈早早地来到了活动集合地点，报到后领了一张活动的介绍。等人差不多齐了后，我们各自得到了一个英文名，然后来到了一个充满万圣节气氛的小屋：神秘的黑色城堡与坟墓；诡异的南瓜灯；墙上贴满了各种各样的妖魔鬼怪的`图案······让人直冒冷汗。
活动开始了，首先是通过一个小短片让我们知道了万圣节的由来：万圣节最早是爱尔兰人驱赶鬼神的节日，又叫“夏之尽头”。但信奉神的教皇不同意了，便把11月1日订为跪拜鬼神的节日，但10月31日晚要驱赶鬼神的呀，于是正式把“夏之尽头”改为“Hlloween(万圣节)”。据说这一天在西方国家，孩子们都会穿上精灵古怪的衣服提着南瓜灯挨家挨户讨糖吃。
既然说到挨家讨糖吃，接下来我们就玩了“Trickortreat（不给糖就捣蛋）”的游戏。我提了一盏南瓜灯敲了敲门，笑嘻嘻地说：“Trickortreat”，然后走进门，老师就给我了两颗糖。耶！太容易了！
最好玩的要数“咬苹果”了。老师把苹果悬挂在绳子上让我们去咬，但只能用嘴不能用手，谁先咬到，谁就是优胜者。轮到我了，我挑了个最中间的苹果准备下嘴。可是我的嘴刚碰到苹果，它就“跳”开了，反复尝试了好几次，都以失败告终。我急了，对准苹果张大嘴露出锋利的牙齿狠狠地咬了下去。呜……苹果“逃”得更快了，还来了个“反弹”，我的鼻子！游戏时间到了，虽然我没有咬到苹果，但作为鼓励老师还是送了我一只苹果。哈哈！我连忙用双手接过苹果咬了下去。这下你“逃”不掉了吧，用手拿着吃就是方便啊！

Teenagershavetheirfunplayingtricksthatsometimesgetratherrough.Theythroweggsortomatoesatpassingmotorists,markupwindowsandwindshieldswithhard-to-erasecandlewax,rollpumpkinsdownlonghills,carryawayporchfurnitureandgarbagecancovers,engravegraffitionfences,ordowhateverbadthingsoccurtothemastheygoaroundlookingforwaysto"letoffsteam".Policeofficersarealertbuttheyonlyarrestthosecaughtdoingrealdamage.Inmostcommunitiesthereareschooldancesorblockpartiestohelpredirecttheenergiesoftheyouthfulpranksters.Businessfirmmsofferprizesforthebestcostumesandrecreationdirectorshelpplanntheparty,buttheyoungpeoplethemselvestakechargeoftheentertainmentandthedecorations—anecessarypartofHalloween.Driedcornstalks,pumpkinfaces,andpilesofapplescreatetheharvestatmosphere;andcutoutsofwitchesontheirbrooms,goblins,ghostsandblackcatssymbolizethewitchcraftaspectoftheholiday.Thefreshments—applecider,popcornandpumpkinpie,andwitchesmadeofspicygingercookies—alsocarryoutboththemes.
ThereisanoccasionaladultHalloweenDanceinabrightorangeandblacksetting,withpaper-madeblackcats,witchesandgrinningskeletonsfloatingabovethedancefloor.ButHalloweenhasbecomemainlyayoungpeople‘sholiday—andtheyoungerthechildthemoreexcitinghefindsit.
昨天，我的英语班开了一次聚会，我邀请了尹菲和我放学一起去参加。
我们刚去到哪儿，看到那里有一堆各式各样的面具，有紫色的，有橙色的，有粉色的'，有白色的……我们选了自己喜欢的面具，英语老师就给我们戴上了，然后，我们就进了大教室。那里装饰得很配万圣节，老师们用纸做了大蜘蛛、蝙蝠和蜘蛛网挂在灯上。还买了几只玩具蜘蛛挂在墙上，还做了一些蜘蛛网挂在墙上。她们还买了一些很小的南瓜灯放在角落和比较暗的地方，因为那时候没开灯。
老师们为了让我们觉得更恐怖，还放了一些恐怖的歌给我们听。后来人都来齐了，老师就拿出来了一个坛子，上面有很多动物。我们就玩了一个游戏，游戏规则是，选两个人，老师说到什么动物，你就得踩到那个动物上面，谁踩到的动物最多谁就赢了。而且，每赢一局就可以得一颗糖果。老师还教了我们“不给糖就捣蛋”用英语怎么说。
玩了游戏，老师又带着我们去做南瓜灯，因为南瓜里面的灯不够，所以我们只做了一个橙色的南瓜。做完南瓜灯我们又去用亮粉画画，我画的是一些不一样的糖果……
今天玩得真开心!希望英语班能多组织一些好玩的活动!

万圣节总是在10月31日。这是一个属于孩子们的节日。在那天，孩子们总是穿奇装异服而且带上面具。然后，他们会挨家挨户地说“不招待就使坏”，所以人们都会用糖果招待他们。如果他们不接受糖果，他们就会对人们恶作剧。但有时，如果人们外出了，而孩子们来了，他们会把糖果放在雕刻好的`南瓜灯笼里。孩子们会自己拿糖果。所有的孩子都很享受这个节日。
