"怒其不争" (nù qí bù zhēng) is a Chinese idiom that means "to be furious but powerless to do anything about it." It is often used to describe a situation in which someone is angry but unable to take any action to address the cause of their anger.

This idiom is derived from a story in Chinese mythology. According to the story, there was a giant named Gong Gong who was enraged when his horns were broken in a battle with the god Zhuanxu. Despite his anger, Gong Gong was unable to do anything to repair the damage to his horns, and so he was left in a state of "怒其不争" – furious but powerless to do anything about it.
